Fun Facts About Me

TAMEKA THOMPSON, MA, LPC

Meet Tameka

HELLO!!!

As a licensed therapist, I am skilled in providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings: non-profit, community mental health, and residential agencies. I specialize in servicing children that are trans-racially adopted, children who have experienced trauma, and children who have experienced academic and behavioral concerns. Some of my unique specialties include Trauma-Focused CBT (TFCBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Sports Therapy. My overall approach to therapy is person-centered which affords me the opportunity to work in collaboration with you in the healing process to facilitate positive change.

I offer a non-judgmental, solution-focused perspective to equip you with the tools needed to experience life and yourself in a new way. While working together my goal is to help you achieve clarity, embrace healthier relationships, and start you on your path toward healing. One of my favorite quotes from world-renowned poet Maya Angelou states, “Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it” and that’s my promise to you when you work with me.
